Tony & Eunice Hallo

Who Am I, who are “We”  | Tony & Eunice

Tony Hallo, born just after WW2 to a very happy, middle class family, a wholesome, Anglo Saxon home of security and “predictability”.

Born a number of years after my older brother, and distinctly “different” I often felt an only child, having a love for home, parents and our wider family should have given me the utmost satisfaction.

Indulged and given a wide array of interests: music, theatre and the arts, it became a world to be explored and enjoyed, performing as a pianist aged 11 was exciting, and it was! But there was something “missing” not something I’d lost … but something “I’d never had”.

Watching a religious program in 1957 I saw the promise of Abundant Life that Jesus offers. As an 11 year old, or was I twelve? I made a note of it, and said within, “I want that Abundant Life!”

Melbourne, March 15, 1959 at The Billy Graham Crusade meeting was the entrance to not only, abundant life, but also Eternal Life, when as a thirteen year old, I received Jesus as Saviour and Lord, and where that decision and journey has taken me is often the theme of our Podcasts … “Jesus without religion”

Eunice (Chapman) Hallo, brought up in Melbourne, Australia just a little over a kilometre from Tony’s family home, Eunice was brought up in a profoundly dedicated family, a Christian Family, believing the Bible and pursuing a living faith

Aged 7, Eunice felt the necessity of being ready for Jesus’s Second Coming, and on her Mother’s knee, received Jesus as Saviour and Lord.

Her Journey has been enriching, colourful and fulfilling in so many ways. Marrying Tony and serving God together for nearly fifty years “the man”  she’d vowed she’d never marry.

What brought about the change?  Where did those decisions lead her? Eunice in “Wonderland” is just one of the themes of her life and Podcast episode … again, “Jesus without religion”
