With the evidence of abuse inflicted on innocent children revealed there comes, naturally, a tidal wave of anger and revulsion by most, if not all of the community of “ordinary” persons.
With that comes an agreement that the “Book of Judgment” be thrown at the Tormentors … However is that enough? … It Is Not !
In weeks from now the tirades of judgment … the outcry of revenge … the tears of sympathy for The Victims will dissipate, will be overlaid by “other matters” and the Victims will be left, as always, to stumble through the jungle of torments, self loathing, dark depressions and suicidal thoughts …
It is not enough to shout your condemnation towards the perpetrators or the Institutions that harboured them, or even cry out in sympathy to the “ Continuing Victims” … The Victims will be again, unintentionally forgotten and lost in their torments, picking away at the scabs of their wounds like “Job of Old”. Let us not be the pity-party of Job’s Comforters who only added to his woes.
The continuing victims of any forms of abuse, need our continuing support, our care, our company … our Prayers.
You don’t have to have an advanced degree or diploma in psychology to be a faithful, committed friend … and that’s what/who they need.
Christian Believers need to know, that to be believed as they share Bible Hope that, the Hope and comfort has to be first seen in practical care by the “messenger” or else be disregarded as being part of the condemned, dogma laden institution that harboured and defended the recently publicised perpetrators.
