Banishing Anxiety
When the Apostle Paul said, “Be anxious for nothing.” He didn’t mean “Be anxious over nothing” …
“Anxiety” is one of the stepping stones to depression and ill health … and undermines not only our peace within but also relationships on every level.
What is anxiety? … It’s problems without a solution … anxiety says, ”I can’t cope” … “I don’t know what to do, where to turn”. And that is the “trapdoor” that plunges us into fears of the worst kind; a whirlpool of despair.
“Casting all, (ALL) your cares upon Him, for He cares for you” 1Peter 5;7 was one of the first verses I memorised as a Youth … I was uncertain, ill at ease and ignorant of Biblical Truths and Principles.
My quest for God and my questions about Him we’re many. My hunger and thirst were larger than my experience, obviously but until the “pieces began to fit” and a composite picture and Vision for, and of God became clearer I was “all at Sea”.
Lesson One is, trust when you cannot “see” or understand and don’t fret over what you do not know … treasure and live “in” the revelation you’ve received.
“The path of the Just (justified) is as a shining Light that (progressively) shines unto the perfect Day” when all shall be revealed … and you, and I will agree that there was never a need for anxiety or fear.
