DEFINING OR, DEFYING … THE GOSPEL OF GOD
The Apostle Paul spent much of his Ministry defining “The Gospel of God” (Romans 1;1) and defaming the “false gospel” of many … Galatians 1
It is imperative we understand and embrace the Gospel of God and reject and repudiate the false gospels of our day, as did Paul in his day.
There are many who follow;
A Convenient gospel … a “gospel” that suits their hearts and goals.
A Corrupted gospel … is a “gospel” that has a semblance of truth but watered down to suit the hearer (or bearer)
A Compromised gospel … is the “gospel of allowance” not requiring initial or ongoing repentance and abhorrence of Sin.
A Concealed gospel … is a true gospel spoken of but not exemplified in the life of the preacher.
A Complicated gospel … is one steeped in traditions of man, enveloped in ritual and with demands that undermine the “power of the True Gospel”.
Then what is the True Gospel? … It is;
A Comprehensive gospel … God’s requirements, Man’s need, Christ’s Glory.
A Concise gospel … Simple, straightforward and readily understood.
A Convincing/Convicting gospel … it challenges my soul, renders me helpless to save myself, turns me to receive The Saviour who, alone can redeem, cleanse and make me acceptable before the holy throne of the Godhead.
